Their team is professional, thorough, and always on time. I initially utilized their sister company (Fix My Slab) to correct my foundation. I was so impressed with them I recommended them to my neighbors. My neighbors appreciated them as well. It's refreshing to find companies that are professional and hard working. Frequently Asked Questions
No, the raising will not cause the concrete to break or crack. Often, there are already cracks in the concrete & those will lessen but will not disappear. However, you will have a more level surface, with an improved look and with removing trip hazards.
Your existing driveway may sink or become uneven due to the soil underneath the concrete. As time goes by, the dirt underneath may erode due to weather conditions. Soil may also expand and contract, which is common for Houston-area soil.
No, the concrete will be lifted and leveled with a mixture of concrete and dirt that will keep the soil underneath firm. Over time, you may see some sinking, but your technician will be able to recommend the best course of action. In some cases, we will recommend replacing the concrete.
Most concrete mudjacking projects take a few hours to complete. It depends on the scope of the work. We also offer concrete replacement, which takes longer to cure.
It really depends on the scope of the work. Southern Concrete Raising performs jobs from residential driveways to industrial concrete removal and replacement. We also install new concrete driveways, walkways, and other concrete. These projects will differ in price, but new concrete runs significantly more than mudjacking. Your technician will be able to get you a firm estimate that is free and good for one year.
Usually, we are able to to lift the concrete and level it, so that you will see much smaller cracks and will have a level surface. In some cases, the concrete is too far cracked to be able to repair without still having a trip hazard. We also offer concrete removal and replacement in that event.
Yes, we regularly remove and replace concrete when lifting is not a solution. We also offer new concrete in a variety of decorative and practical applications—driveways, patios, pool decks, sidewalks, and industrial projects.
Yes, it works on any concrete, including driveways, sidewalks, and stairs in both residential and commercial applications. Polyurea coating is formulated to work specifically with concrete.
Foam and mud are similar in application. We use mud because it has better precision of control, and we believe the cementitious nature of the mud mixture is better for the environment (versus the chemicals in the foam).
You will be able to use your sidewalks and patios immediately and will need to wait 24 hours to park on a driveway. If we are installing new concrete, that depends on how long the concrete will need to cure, which is often dependent on weather.
Yes, we offer a warranty from 1-3 years, depending on the services you choose.
